About Us
Barton Grange is a Georgian-style house on the Brownhills estate in South Shropshire. Built in 1856 as a 'Gentleman's Residence', Brownhills became a small dairy farm a few years later and served as such until recent years. The property suffered neglect, and in 2017 the Clarke family took it on, restoring the buildings and land back to its former glory.
Having held their own events on the estate, including private parties, classic car rallies and club events, they felt the time was right to encourage others to make use of their landscaped grounds, lakeside and pastures as a blank canvas for events with the stunning backdrop of the Shropshire Hills AONB behind.
The Venue
The Brownhills Estate is set in 26 acres of scenic meadows, woodland and lawned areas, all available to use for outdoor wedding parties and receptions, to automotive events and lots in between!
We have around 8 acres of reasonably flat meadow pastures perfect for larger events and marquees, and around 3 acres of lawned parkland areas next to a small lake for smaller more intimate events and smaller structures. Our woodland areas make great 'rustic' photo opportunities! Wherever you decide to site your outdoor event, the Caer Caradoc, Lawley and Long Mynd hills make for a perfect backdrop.
